Week #7 Who let the Puppies out…

Springtime is here and the puppies are in full bloom. Ragnar, Rhett and Runa all gained 4 pounds this week and all the remaining puppies tipped the scales with more than 3 pound increase. This week we learned a new game, king and queen of the gazebo. Once again, the girls rule, with Rosa taking on all comers and accumulating the most time on the “top step”…her growl even sounds like girrrl.

The big dogs are enjoying the puppy clan, playing and wrestling together. It is amazing how gentle the big dogs are with them, even when they are getting bitten to death with those sharp little teeth. Their little legs are getting stronger, they love to gallop (actually more like a bunny hop) full blast around the back yard. In the house you can now here the petter, patter of big puppy feet galloping down the hallway. They playfulness is getting a little more gentle. They now realize they are hurting each other if they bite too hard and back-off…we could all learn a little something from them.

They are now bored with the Olympics after the disappointing hockey team losses. They’ve turn their attention to exploring the house as they continually try to expand there territory. At the evening round-up, we have our puppy count down 8-7-6-5-4-3-2-? and it is especially exciting in the dark. Those black coats make it challenging. Until next week, please enjoy the photos. The big dogs are Moose and Sasha, helping out on the puppy round-up.
